I've reviewed a lot of eye creams last year, and saw a lot of new products rise and crash in the beauty department. I thought it would be great to look back at the different products that made it to our shelves, and those that made it to the trash.
Here's a list of the top 3, and the worst 3 eye creams we've reviewed for 2012.
WORST EYE CREAMS
The name alone sounds very tempting. Fresh black tea sounds like something I would order on a really hot and sweltering day. The problem is, well, it's not just a drink, it's an eye cream. So it needs to be scrutinized further.
This eye cream claims to significantly hydrate the eye area and visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as reduce puffiness. But, that just didn't happen. Yes, it is quite moisturizing, and your skin feels a little better, but it's an eye cream and not just a basic moisturizer. It needs to hydrate our skin more in order to solve eye those fine lines, puffiness, or dark circles.
Point here is, if you're going to spend $65.00, you should get something that actually produces results.

Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Eye Cream falls on the cheaper type of eye creams which makes it easy to be tempted to buy it. It's organic, which is also a good thing and doesn't dry out the skin. It got rank as our second worst eye cream for more than a couple of reasons.
First, for something named Wild rose, it just smells terrible! Upon applying it, it takes forever to be absorbed. Also, one thing that seems to be common with most people who try it, it causes break-outs which is something that we should avoid.
What really irks me with this product though, is it contains antioxidant and astringent properties, which they claim protects your eyes. But seriously, don't we even avoid putting astringent near the eye area because of the sensitive skin?

So, aside from the fact that it's difficult to say realy quick, five times, why did we rank Sue Devitt Microquatic Pro Juvenation Reparative Eye Concentrate as the worst eye cream in the site? We have several reasons.
First of all, it's a concentrate, and this exudes a lot of expectations from me and all the other women out there. Yes, it is very rich, and you automatically feel it once you apply it on your skin, but as for the promised results? You don't really get them. The concentrate promises to get rid of everything. This goes for fine lines, eye bags and dark circles. You may get rid of one, or none at all, which just isn't enough. If your product can only deal with fine lines, then say so on the fine print.
Second, there are several reports that it causes a stinging feel in the eye area. These reports aren't for the first time users either. Some of them have actually tried to experiment, using one cream for one eye and the Sue Devitt eye concentrate on the other, several times, and still felt the sting time and time again.
Yes, there are some positive reviews out there, but those are from girls who are just looking for a preventive cream. They have no major problems, and just looking for a moisturizer, which isn't what you're paying for per jar.
Last, it's extremely expensive! For a hundred dollars a jar, even those who did love the concentrate weren't willing to buy it again! That says something. It's a waste of money, it's painful, and it doesn't work, which is a solid 30/100 from us.

BESTEYE CREAMS
We all know that caffeine can get rid of those eye bags. Admit it ladies, you've probly tried placing teabags on your eyes more than once. Well, Dr. Brandt No More r3p Eye Cream captures what we love in caffeine, and what gets rid of what we hate, which is the hassle. We've given it an 80/100 points which is really good, and ranks it at number 3 on our list.
The best thing about this eye cream is that you can use it under your make-up. Yes, it is pretty thick like we said, but, it melts on your skin and gets absorbed by those trouble areas. It works wonders for eye bags and dark circles around the eyes. I like the fact that once you put it on, it feels wonderously moisturizing. Why it doesn't have a perfect score though, it's not really good enough for those fine lines. Also, the packaging can use improvement. It does tend to squirt. Nevertheless, it still is a great cream, and if you're looking to get rid of those bags and dark circles, this is a bottle you just have to pick up.

Estee Lauder has been a trusted brand in the beauty department. This can be a good or bad thing for a brand. See, while it's trusted, people will say that not every product is good. Time Zone Eye Creme though, is just marvelous. First, the jar packaging is great. We don't need to deal with pumps which is a waste of product. next, the formula is semi gel and semi creme, which gives you the moisture of creme, but the soothing feel of a gel. The consistency is awesome and unlike some of the creams out there, it DOES not cause millia. Whew!
I'm not going to claim that this is a miracle cream though, it won't erase your fine lines in an instant. But, stick to it, and you will not be disappointed. It's nourishing, hydrating and absorbs into the skin really well.
Now, the downside, it hasn't really worked for some of the girls out there, so while this is on the top three list, we will listen if there are any negative reactions out there. Comments are still very welcome, and we might just change the list to add in your favorite.

And finally, we have the best eye cream reviewed for 2012, Peptides Plus Wrinkle Reverse Creme by Derma E. We totally loved it for several reasons, I'm sure most of you will agree.
If you have sensitive skin, this is a must try. Women with sensitive skin have been ecstatic over how it had no negative reactions on their skin, and you can finally focus on the effectivity. It works great for women under 30 and even ladies over 60. The effects are very visible. One of the reasons for this is also the fact that it has no invasive scents, it doesn't stink, but isn't extremely perfumed as well, it just emits a very clean and fresh smell.
Peptide Reverse Creme works especially well for reducing fine lines, but it also does wonders for those dark circles and baggy eyes. And the best part about this product is, compared to the other eye creams on the market with the same results, it's very reasonably priced!
If you're looking for an eye cream to try this 2013, this is definitely included on the list.
