How Wrinkle Creams Work

by Jen Hopkins

Wrinkles are signs of aging that will eventually form on everyone's face at some point or another. But people will try their best to delay this process and do as much as they can to look younger, longer. This is why a lot of techniques and methods have been developed to combat these signs of aging.

These signs of aging start to form due to the body slowing down its production of collagen and elastin. These proteins are responsible for maintaining the skin's elasticity. With fewer of these proteins, the skin loses its elasticity making it prone to sag, and form fine lines and wrinkles.

In addition to the formation of wrinkles, other signs of aging such as dull skin and puffiness under the eyes start to show at around the same time. Old skin cells present makes the skin dull, while the accumulation of fluids due to blockages and other errors in circulation cause the puffiness under the eyes.

With the many developments in science and technology, we have now discovered how these signs of aging arise. Because of these, many ways have also been developed as to how to combat these effects. One example of the results of these studies is the creation of wrinkle creams, which are now very accessible on the market.

Different creams have specific ways as to how to reverse the effects of aging. Some creams focus more on the problems around the eyes such as puffiness and dark lines. Such creams work by stimulating better circulation in this area so that fluids are better eliminated and their accumulation is prevented. Increased cell regeneration is also one of the effects of these creams as this helps eliminate dull, older cells and replaces them with younger cells that are more elastic and have a better appearance.

Creams that focus more on eliminating wrinkles may also have cell regenerative effects so that older skin cells are removed. Others also have collagen and elastin stimulating effects so that the body increases its rate of production and the skin can regain its elasticity.

Most creams also have common effects. One of this is having a moisturizing effect so that skin may stay hydrated. Well hydrated skin is more resistant to damage than dry skin, thus it helps prevent the skin from looking old quickly. Another property of most wrinkle creams is that they have antioxidants to help eliminate free radicals, which contribute to faster skin aging if allowed to accumulate.

Avoid having those wrinkles and puffiness under the eyes by using wrinkle creams today. As you have read, these creams are specially made to combat the effects of aging. As long as you choose a cream that is compatible with your skin, you won't have to spend lots of money on expensive procedures. This will also take a few minutes of your time each day so it won't be a hassle to use.
