Description: St. Ives Cucumber & Elastin Stress could be considered as one of the really good anti aging products when it comes to the gel field. Like most gels, the moisturizing effects it produces is not as thick as eye creams but compared to the other eye gels, it definitely makes its mark higher than the rest in its field. It applies really well and has a marvelous relaxing feel on the applied areas. Once applied, it dries quickly, ready for the makeup to be applied. Apart from post application, on a hot day, it also has a tendency to dry quickly and slowly lose its tightening feel around the eye area.

The reason why it’s the favorite of many is that it also controls the oils on the skin, making it less shiny. So it’s conclusive that even though its quite deficient for those with really major eye problems like fine lines, dark circles and baggy eyes, it’s a really good preventive system when you’re at a younger age.

Directions for Use: Apply at the beginning or end of the day. Pat gently around eyes and other areas prone to stress lines and dryness.

Ingredients: Water, Cucumber Extract, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Primrose Extract, Sunflower Extract, Sambucus Nigra Extract, Matricaria Extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Allantoin, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, PVM/MA Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone Copolyol, Glycereth – 26, Sodium PCA, PPG-5 Ceteth-20, Carbomer, Benzophenone-4, Aminomethyl Propanol, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Yellow No. 5.

Sunscreen: None

JEN says: Not for those who are more on the cure than on the preventive measures. I usually give a no-no for merely preventive products, that has only minor treatments for eye problems, but with the bonus effects on this one, I would recommend a buy. It's a great deal compared to $25 and $85 creams. Check Aveda Tourmaline Charged eye cream review and Opulence Awakening Eye Serum review respectively.
